• Multidisciplinary cancer care audit

Building on its extensive work in multidisciplinary care, National Breast and Ovarian Cancer Centre has undertaken a national audit of multidisciplinary activity in breast, gynaecological, lung, prostate and colorectal cancers. The audit provides a baseline snapshot of multidisciplinary care activity prior to the introduction in 2006 of the MBS item to support multidisciplinary meeting attendance.

The audit was conducted nationally through a telephone survey with nominated individuals at a random sample of hospitals across a range of health service delivery settings in collaboration with relevant State and Territory groups.
