Cancer Australia's Pink Ribbon Events take place in October, Australia’s Breast Cancer Month, to celebrate Australia’s achievements and inform the community about advances in breast cancer care, remember those diagnosed and promote important breast awareness messages to Australian women.

Sydney's 2011 Pink Ribbon Breakfast will take place on Monday 24 October at the Four Seasons Hotel, George St.

A tribute service will be held to honour and remember loved ones whose lives have been lost to breast, ovarian and prostate cancer. Services will be held in Sydney and Melbourne on the following dates:

• Melbourne service – Sunday 2 October, St Michael’s Uniting Church, 120 Collins St, Melbourne
• Sydney service – Sunday 23 October, St James’ Church, 173 King St, Sydney

The Polo Ralph Lauren Pink Pony Campaign is an international initiative that aims to address disparities in care for women with breast cancer, with a particular focus on women in rural and regional areas.

In Australia, Polo Ralph Lauren donates 25% of the sale of Pink Pony merchandise to fund programs to support and improve outcomes for women diagnosed with breast cancer. These programs comprise annual Scholarships for health professionals and Seeding Grants for community-based initiatives.
