In July 2011, the National Breast and Ovarian Cancer Centre (NBOCC) amalgamated with Cancer Australia to form a single national agency, Cancer Australia, to provide leadership in cancer control and improve outcomes for Australians affected by cancer.

Enhancing Australia’s position as a preferred destination for clinical trials
February 2010
Clinical trials are an essential component of the process of finding better treatments for cancer. This submission will comment on the discussion papers released by the Parliamentary Secretary for Innovation and Industry, and the Parliamentary Secretary for Health, about ways Australia can enhance its position as a preferred destination for clinical trials.

The Guiding Principles for Regional Cancer Centres

NBOCC’s* submission will discuss the distinct Guiding Principles outlined in the Draft for consultation. The submission provides an overview of the role of NBOCC* and the effects of geographic location in cancer and discusses NBOCC’s* proposed recommendations.

Development of a new National Women’s Health Policy
July 2009
NBOCC's* submission will focus on the distinct principles outlined in the Government's Consultation Discussion Paper and will propose an additional principle 'Complete health and wellbeing', which we feel is fundamental to improving the health and wellbeing of Australian women.
